HOME WHAT IS ITAD? ABOUT RRAI SOLUTIONS CAREERS CONTACTS
RRAI provides peace of mind to enterprise clients, by ensuring comprehensive data sanitization. All equipment received by RRAI that has the ability to store data goes through a fail-safe procedure appropriately coined SoDEaD (System of Data Erasure and Destruction). With RRAI's SoDEaD process, a client is guaranteed that no confidential information remains on the retired hard drives and that unauthorized software transfer does not occur.

The RRAI SoDEaD process:
Our SoDEaD process includes the following: Hard drives that pass testing have all corporate information and software removed according to Department of Defense certified procedures; rendering all information and software unrecoverable. Hard drives that fail testing are placed in a certified degausser, which demagnetizes that hard drive, creates a head crash and renders all information and software unrecoverable and/or suffer physical plate destruction (via drill-press or metal shredder). Further, all asset tags and other end user identifiers are removed.

Our SoDEaD process adheres to the standards established by the information security recommendations of the U.S. Department of Defense Document (DoD 5220.22-M), and is also Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, Gramm Leach Bliley Act and FACTA compliant.

The RRAI data security erasure/destruction policy meets or exceeds National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) destruction methods and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) published guidelines for IT data security best practices.
